Oliver Needs Help /Surgery
Well, a few friends convinced me to start a Go Fund Me for my 1.5 year old cat, Oliver. He has been through heck this last year, enduring 2 surgeries that I’m still paying for. I know that some people don’t understand relationships with people and their ‘pets’, but my pets have always been like children to me.
Oliver is the first one to jump on my lap, especially after the awful year I’ve had. He has provided comfort and compassion and is constantly my shadow. His favorite friend is Préciosa, my little Longhorn calf ♥️
Oliver is a ‘special’, special meaning he has an OCD issue with eating everything he can get his paws on and swallow. I have taken away all cat toys, hair bands, toothpicks, etc. I foundout his little tummy had accumulated all of these items, unbeknownst to me, when he started throwing up and a few of these items cameout after living in his intestines for quite some time. He received a surgery that lasted 2 weeks (cutting out his ruptured intestines and reconnecting them) Unfortunately, it happened again 2 weeks later. This time, they stapled his intestines to his inner wall lining. They didn’t expect it to work but said if he stayed well for 2 weeks, it was a success. That was about 7 months ago. Well, 2 days ago he was standing next to me and started throwing up violently. And again, and again. Well, not sure if anyone remembers me having to get iron infusions a month or so ago......Oliver got ahold of the coband that the nurses wrap around your IV area to stop the bleeding. So it really is my fault for leaving it out. I should have known he’d try and eat it. This morning I checked on him when I got up and the same exact symptoms he had the last 2 times are occurring again—lethargy, throwing up and bloody stools, and not eating anything. I even tried to give himhis favorite~tuna straight out of the can. He had no interest.
I am NOT a person to set up a Go Fund Me, I’m very private and just don’t feel comfortabledoing this, so PLEASE do not feel obligated in any way. Two very good friends ‘pressured’ me into this. And I’m all reality, it ducks that money is the only way to possibly keep my baby boy alive.
