As many people know, Brother Oliver & soon to be (yay!) Sister In LawKaty Lynn's wedding venue has closed, and they have stolen over $6,000 of their money (which was used as a deposit on the venue). Unfortunately, the money has yet to be returned and likely won't be. Take a look at the News Story below. The owner, Mark Gordon, has not paid rent to the property in since September 2016, owing over $272,187. In the grand scheme of his thievery, Oliver and Katy Lynn's $6,000 probably means next to nothing for Mark; but to them, it was the majority of their wedding fund and a very generous wedding gift from Katy Lynn's parents.
The entire situation has been heartbreaking, stressful, and more than unexpected. Now, with just over 9 months to plan an entire dream wedding, Oliver and Katy Lynn are stuck. Because of the deposits already made on the photographer and other vendors, Katy Lynn and Oliver need to keep their planned date of September 19, 2020; or, they are liable to lose those deposits, too.
Finding a new venue with very little time and and unexpectedly low budget, Katy Lynn and Oliver are hoping for a miracle.
Katy Lynn and Oliver, as many of you know, are as loving as they are stubborn and wouldn't want to ask for help; but, friends and families are who they are for a reason. Any contribution to make this dream a reality would undoubtably be greatly appreciated.
Oliver and Katy - your dream wedding is not lost on us; and, we're going to do everything we can to make it a reality!
