Finding a New Home for Olive the Pig and I in LBC

Thank you for visiting our Fundraiser page in support of Olive Garden the Pig, and our ongoing battle against the Property Owner/Broker of our Home.

I want to thank everyone who signed my initial CHANGE petition I made after I was unlawfully blindsided with a 30 day notice on 1.4.21 to 'Remove my Pig from my Property'. My petition quickly reached 2K community signatures, which WORKED in getting the attention of my District 2 City Council Woman, Ms. Cindy Allen! I also made a thorough information packet on mini pigs and gathered 15 testimonials from community members & neighbors in support of Olive. Ms. Allen's team officially intervened on 1.29 and they all worked diligently to resolve this for us and safely keep Olive in her home where she belongs and has resided for YEARS.

Along with City Council support and the support of LB Animal Control, Ms. Allen's team finally made contact with said Property Owner, Kevin Davidson, and his Broker, David Haas, and locked them into a Zoom call with the City.
On this call the District 2 Policy Director confronted them over their false reasoning and explicitly extended permission for Olive remain in her home, offering their support of her residency to both men, further stating LB Animal Control would NOT execute the removal of Olive from this property, and confirmed their statements given to me were purposely misleading as pigs are allowed in Long Beach.
He also pointed out to Kevin that HE in the one who referenced these same city codes when he drafted her into a LEGALLY BINDING lease agreement, back in 2019.
However, both men still failed to provide any reason at all except pointing out that contractually speaking "based on the way Kevin drafted the housing agreement he can do pretty much whatever he wants, sans clause or default".  They refused to accept any extended offers from City Council, and refused to revoke their wrongful '30 day pig removal notice', refused to offer any apologies for explanation for their fraudulent statements, ONLY agreeing to allow us to reside in our home so long as they were PAID nearly SIX MONTHS IN ADVANCE. They accepted that agreement from Ms. Allen's team, only to secure a large lump sum payout at once (which they got) and it would only briefly delay the termination of my housing agreement aka a forced eviction.
In other words Kevin Davidson weaponized my own ESA animal against me, used knowledge he had acquired after having me as a tenant and friend for 7 years, and knew he and his broker would be forcing this ultimatum upon me and what would result from that.

They were also playing their odds that their tenant would not consult a lawyer....

As a result, during this global pandemic where I have remained consistent on my house payments, despite being unemployed for the last 12 months and I have invested thousands of dollars into this property over the years, thus increasing its value immensely AND building and providing a safe refuge and sanctuary for my mini pig and 2 chickens, of whom are inseparable...
Kevin and David simply decided instead to make a cruel joke about my situation and pig over the Zoom call to the City, refused any of their offers (except for the one where a large lump sum payout was on the table to only secure me a few months to prep) and are STILL forcing me to vacate my home of 7 years.
With no preparation nor savings to my name. Most of all under illegal and absolutely unlawful circumstances.


Due to the abhorrent and criminal behavior of KD and DH, I have since obtained powerful legal counsel, who are helping me seek justice against these two men for a plethora of unlawful behavior; including Harassment, Fraud, abuse of Process, Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress, Damages/relocation fees, several civil rights violations, and multiple counts of Discrimination since they are STILL forcing us to move, despite the City of LB's intervention alongside LB Animal Control, and most importantly Olive's ESA documentation stacked against them - which supersedes any zoning regulations (of which are not even applicable here) and protects her under Federal law.

Shame on Ernst and Haas, who have a multitude of current tenant complaints against them for harassment and wrongful evictions, including pending complaints with the Dept of Fair Housing.
I cannot comment on further specifics of our legal case as it's now "active", but I am happy to disclose what I can and share anything that I've learned that may help arm other tenants and citizens with knowledge and power.
Abuse of Power and Harassment are not acceptable behaviors.

I have launched this GOFUNDME to raise immediate funds for our shocking and pending relocation and to aid in the ongoing legal fees, especially as this may escalate to litigation.
I am creating a public excel spreadsheet and will be keeping track of all donations and how the monies are applied as this fundraiser continues. 


I now need to devote my energy to finding an entirely new home, a new sanctuary for me and my little farm family that will support a mini pig, 2 chickens myself and a senior dog, as these are innocent animals who do not deserve such inhumane treatment... Who currently have the BEST life at their long term home.  Olive will have her immediate welfare challenged over this forced and unlawful decision. A cruel and personal decision executed only by Property Owner Kevin Davidson and his Broker David Haas because "they can".
(Exact words, not even joking).  I will no longer do business with nor hand over my hard earned money to these two cruel and despicable characters.

We hope to stay in Long Beach - near my ongoing treatment, work when it returns/reopens, and close to our long term Vet who services my entire animal family. I also do not have a car and have limited mobility for the time being.
