I'm taking the next step in being an agent of change. In a few weeks, I'll be flying to Palestine to support farmers during the olive harvest . The olive harvest is a significant time of the year in Palestinian society, as it is vital to Palestinian agricultural economy and cultural heritage. Tens of thousands of Palestinian families depend on the olive harvest as their primary source of income. During the harvest season, I will accompany Palestinians farmers and families on their lands to help in the harvest, act as a solidarity presence, and document when necessary.
I’ve been seeking a way to directly engage with Palestinians living under occupation — to stand with them not just in theory, but on the ground. I want to use my privilege and access to help shift the narrative, to show that not all Jews support the violence being carried out in our name. Over the past months, I’ve leaned deeper into my progressive politics and taken clear action: donating, protesting, writing letters, and joining direct actions in my community. But there’s more to do.
Showing up in Palestine feels like the next step — a way to help heal collective wounds, support those resisting, and return home better equipped to educate others. I don’t want to stand idly by while oppression continues. I want to build friendships with Palestinian families and fellow Jewish activists, and to contribute meaningfully to a harvest that is vital to both livelihood and culture.
I’m seeking to raise $3,000 to make this journey possible. Your support will help cover airfare and the Center for Jewish Nonviolence program fee, which includes accommodations, transportation, meals, project materials, training, and facilitation. While contributions aren’t tax-deductible since they come directly to me, every dollar goes straight into making this work possible on the ground. By contributing, you’re not just helping me get there—you’re becoming directly connected to this effort and the change we can create together.
If this project is something you’d like to support please do.
