If you know me you know how hard it is for me to ask for, well, anything. But here goes...
At barely five months old, he was the leader of the pack. Before becoming a "pack", they were just 5 babies that were dumped from a moving car in the parking lot of a church in Mora, New Mexico. A few of us caring people gave them food now and then, but mostly they were ignored. So, as weeks passed and they grew, concerned citizens requested that the sheriff's department get involved. Three of the pups were trapped and removed from the property (one is still at large). This guy, the one I could get closest to, was nowhere to be found. The next day, I spotted him wandering with a severely broken jaw (I'll spare you the gruesome photos). He then disappeared for 2 more days, unable to eat or drink. The trucks were gone, the traps were left, and I continued baiting them. Finally, he was caught in a trap, even though he couldn't eat the food. Now he needs surgery, and a lot of kind donors to help with the costs. He's an otherwise healthy pup and I'm committed to helping him find his way to a loving home.
Every little bit is huge.
Thanks & Love
