Please help Olin, Jr. fight Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Donation protected
Olin, Jr, age 18, is a recent high school graduate with severe autism. He is non-verbal and intellectually disabled. He was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Stage IV. While his prognosis is positive given his age, there are numerous challenges ahead for him and his family.
He is resting at home currently after several days in the hospital. Olin, Jr. will start chemotherapy the week of November 27th. His family will know more about the timing and frequency of his treatments soon and will update everyone.
Olin's family anticipates multiple challenges as he gets chemotherapy. Given his disabilities Olin, Jr. always needs to have one parent present to support him. Olin, Sr. and Shannon will have to reduce their workloads in order to support their son as he undergoes treatment. Both his parents will have to incur travel expenses driving to and from the various appointments. His mom, Shannon, is hoping to create a safe space for Olin,Jr. at home with a specialized bed and a sleep chair..
Olin, Jr. has been handling all of this like a champ. He is a loving and gentle soul. He usually attends a post-high school adult program, however is now on an extended medical leave.
We are reaching out to family, friends, and community members to help raise the funds to support his care. Thank you.
