Olga and Vlada’s fight out of Ukraine

My name is Pamela Hines. I started an organization when the war began. At first it started out… I was just helping people but then it turned into an organization. Gold & Blue United. www.goldandblueunited.com
I began talking to Olga Volokhova last year. She reached out to me for help for her and her daughter. I was able to get a box sent to them of needed supplies. Then when Christmas came around, we decided we wanted to send Vlada some gifts. She loves them. However, supplies and gifts are not enough. Vlada is suffering from a constant sounds of bombs & sirens. We’re asking for your help. We are raising money for her and her family. We hope that we can get them sponsored someday into the uniting for Ukraine program in the United States. Olga works very hard to provide for her and her daughter. She teaches English to Ukrainian students virtually. Her income is not enough to provide basic needs in Ukraine , and transportation to the United States… so we’re here to help. And we hope you are too.
Olga I have become very close as she teaches me Ukrainian and we speak daily. Her daughter Vlada, and I are penpals. She practices learning her English with me, and I practice learning Ukrainian with her..we send voice clips when the power is working. Which is less often as of lately.
She is my mini best friend.
They live in Kharkiv. They are still under threats of bombs/missiles all day…everyday. The sirens are in constant cycles. They have becomes triggers to children. Imagine hearing it so often that it you no longer jump, but you idle in the discomfort. You don’t get up and run to the shelter, because if you did so, you’d just spend everyday down there. So you sit, and just tolerate the aching sound that vibrates your body and disturbs your core existence. A child should not know this kind of tourture.
I am currently holding several fundraisers to help this family and many more god willing.
I wish and pray everyday that we are able to get them here. Please help us make that happen. They are like family to us.
We’ve gather much needed supplies such as baby food and baby formula. Baby David made his grand appearance into the world on April 12,2024. He unfortunately has an allergy to dairy and soy. So special formula and foods are needed. Markets across the country have closed. Pharmacy’s are scarcely open. Things are looking grim and they need our support more than ever.
