Oldtown Salinas Hometown Hero Banner Program

The mission of the Oldtown Salinas Hometown Hero Banner Program is to honor all veterans who were residents of the city of Salinas with a display of banners along Oldtown’s Main Street.

All current and former veterans who have donned the uniforms of our Armed Forces, while honorably serving our country and community, deserve our respect and recognition.

And lest we forget those who paid the ultimate price ensuring the rest of us continue to live with peace and freedom.

This initiative provides an opportunity for community leaders to show future generations the importance of paying tribute to our beloved veterans. There are few legacies more honorable than that.

Community sponsors are the primary source of funding for this program and will help ensure its success, as we do not want our veterans or their families to bear any of the cost.

We are calling out to leading local businesses and the citizens of Salinas to help us make the Oldtown Salinas

Hometown Hero Banner Program a victory.

We are working hard - and need your support - to complete Phase One in advance of Veterans Day, November 11, 2021.
