My name is Chris, and I'm an old Navy SEAL fighting to keep my home.

Life threw me a couple of curveballs last fall, and I’m trying to stay afloat until my PACT Act disability benefits kick in. Given how things move along at the VA, I’m looking at four months until the additional benefits balance out my situation. In the meantime, I’m doing whatever I can – including building rock walls by hand at the ripe old age of 76 – to make ends meet.

My kid set me up with this GoFundMe to try to make my mortgage payments through this summer. The magic number is $8,414.25, which covers my mortgage for the next four months.

I wish I could offer something in return beyond my thanks, but the best I can come up with is this thought… you’ll be helping an old frogman get back on his feet, and if nothing else that makes for a pretty good story.
