Hello,

 We are a group of best friends, who from a group chat became affectionately known as The Old Maidens (don’t ask).

 In May 2023, we were all devastated to lose Chris unexpectedly to suicide, Chris was our best friend and partner to Nathan. Chris was only 33 years old. This was a complete shock to us all, and we have spent the last year navigating everything that brings, and learning to enjoy life again.

 We wanted to do something for Chris, and to challenge ourselves, so we have decided to climb Mount Snowdon on the 6th July. We want to raise funds to place a memorial bench for Chris in a place he loved walking Molly his dog, somewhere we can go together to remember him.

 For any excess funds raised, we have a particular charity we’d love to support. In the immediate aftermath we were helped by a charity called Bags for Strife, who provide support, care bags and journals for those affected by suicide - https://www.bagsforstrife.co.uk
