In the second annual Old Head Swim Challenge and in what is one of the most iconic swims in Ireland, if not the world, up to 20 qualified swimmers will undertake the 5k swim around the stunning headland and through the incredible caves below Old Head Golf Links. Targeting to raise significant funds for the RNLI, the swim is scheduled for the 15th August 2026 with the backup date of the 16th to allow for suitable conditions being in place. Those interested in applying will need to be a competitive member of a Swim Ireland or other World Aquatics Clubs. The swim will be lead by International Hall Of Fame Marathon Swimmer Ned Denison, is insured by Swim Ireland and will be fully accompanied by qualified support vessels.
