Old city movers employee relief fund

When we founded Old City Movers 15 years ago, we sought not only to provide our customers with an exceptional moving experience, but also to provide our movers with a fair and living wage. As many of you undoubtedly know, our guys don’t just arrive and haul your stuff from one house to another. If you’ve enlisted our services, you know that they do more than that; they provide an experience. If you’re hungry you can always run out to your local Wawa and grab a hoagie, you’ll end up full. Similarly, if you need to move, you can run out to your local UHaul and rent a truck. You’ll end up moved. But our guys provide something different, and we believe you know that already. Unfortunately, though they would love to keep providing this service, in order to protect the greater community of Philadelphia, we felt there was no alternative but to cease operations until further notice from local officials. Accordingly, we’ve been put in the heartbreaking position of having to lay off all of our employees. To say that they’re lives are impacted by this severely is an understatement. So it is with great humility and love for this wonderful city of Philadelphia, that we reach out to you, to help us protect our workers in this time of need. They have moved you before, they will move you again, and they will appreciate anything and everything you can offer. 100% of donations will go to the staff on whom we rely.
