Hi everyone, my name is Beatrice. I am the daughter of Johnson Olajide Babarinde, and it is with a very heavy heart that I share the passing of my dad.
Although my dad had been unwell for most of this year, nothing could have prepared us for how quickly his health declined at the end. Losing him so suddenly has left my family and me heartbroken, and we are still trying to come to terms with the shock and pain of it all.
As his next of kin, I am doing my best to arrange a simple, peaceful, and dignified farewell for my dad. Unfortunately, the costs involved have been overwhelming. The burial plot alone starts from £6,000, and this does not include the coffin, transport, or other essential funeral arrangements. My brother and I were not prepared for such a heavy financial burden during an already painful time.
With a lot of humility, I have set up this GoFundMe to ask for support in helping us give our dad the send-off he truly deserves.
How your support will help
We want to be open and transparent about how donations will be used. All contributions will go towards:
- Burial plot
- Funeral director fees
- Coffin and transportation
- Service or chapel fees
- Headstone contribution
- Any additional or unexpected costs that may arise
We are keeping everything as simple and dignified as possible, but even so, the costs are more than we can manage on our own.
My dad, Johnson, was a loving and devoted father to his children and granddaughter. He was a loyal friend to many, a man of great strength and quiet courage, and someone whose faith meant everything to him. He touched many lives, and his loss has left a deep void in our hearts.
I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has taken the time to read this, share our page, donate, or keep us in your prayers. Any amount, no matter how small, will help us during this incredibly difficult time and allow us to lay our dad to rest with the dignity he deserves.
Your kindness, love, and prayers mean more to us than I can ever express.
May God bless you all.
