Okotoks Legion Building Fund

I have set up this GoFundMe page in hopes to raise money to help The Royal Canadian Legion branch 291 purchase a building in Okotoks. All money raised from this page will go directly to branch 291.

Veterans in Okotoks and district need a place to call home, the needs of this group of ex service personnel differ from those in the general population.

A quiet place for reflection and healing is vital to their wellbeing. The comradeship of those who share their history and their experiences is an essential part of their recovery.


Okotoks does not have such a place and the Okotoks Legion is committed to providing one as funds become available.

Currently those funds are not available and veterans must travel to other locations such as Calgary for mutual support.

A new Legion home would provide such a location. In addition the Legions mandate to work with the youth and the seniors in their communities would ensure that such a development would benefit those groups.

To achieve this goal will be hugely positive for the town and the district while meeting the unique needs of the Legion as a service organisation.

Any support or sponsorship that can be generated will have the most positive outcome for those who gave so much to Canada and the world during their service.





Any amount you are able to give will be greatly appreciated to go towards this wonderful cause, Our Veterans deserve a place to call home after all the sacrifices they have made for us.
