Support My Journey to Ghana
Peace and blessings to you all.
As I reflect on my journey, I am in awe of the path that has unfolded before me. Living with lupus and being on dialysis since 2009 has taught me the importance of healing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. These challenges led me to explore holistic wellness, studying herbalism, yoga, Reiki, and other ancient healing arts. I shared these gifts with my community, but after the tragic loss of my husband four years ago, I found myself in a place of deep grief, searching for meaning.
That search led me to the Akan spiritual tradition of Akom. Under the guidance of my teacher, Nana Abena Nyarkowa, I discovered a sense of peace and purpose I had long yearned for. My teacher often says, “Okomfo are born, not made.” (In Akan culture, Okomfo is the traditional title of a priest.) Every step I have taken—from my personal healing to my wellness work—has led me to this moment. Akom has not only been my healing ground but also the space where I have grown into the traditional healer, medicine woman, and priest I was always meant to be.
Now, I stand at the threshold of completing my training, with one final and significant step ahead: traveling to Ghana for my graduation rituals and rites. This journey requires a major financial investment, and I am humbly seeking your support in making this dream a reality.
Your contribution, no matter the size, will help me fulfill my lifelong purpose—not just for myself, but for the families & communities I am committed to serving. If you feel called to support, I would be deeply grateful for your generosity. Thank you for walking this path with me.
