OKLAHOMA AMBASSADOR OF MUSIC

Hello!

My name is Vega, and I am looking to raise funds to participate in the Oklahoma Ambassadors of Music Program for my Senior year. I have been a dedicated member of my school's band program for seven years and have been selected to participate in the Oklahoma Ambassadors of Music European Tour 2023. It is a 15-day trip across Europe in which we will be performing at concerts with stops in London, Paris, Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

My musical odyssey began in 5th-grade, starting with the flute. I have since then expanded my musical proficiency to multiple instruments, including the alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, trumpet, clarinet, bass clarinet and percussion. I've passed the first round of State Honor Band once and participated in Cameron University Community Jazz in 2021 and 2022. In addition, I've attained 7th chair flute during my 7th grade at Short grass, 8th chair in 8th grade at Shortgrass, 1st chair concert with tenor saxophone and 8th chair flute in 9th grade at Shortgrass, as well as 1st chair at SWOBDA, 12th chair flute in 10th grade at Shortgrass and 1st chair concert with bass clarinet in 11th grade at SWOBDA.

In addition to requesting online donations, I will sell handmade jewelry, work a part-time job, write letters, and auction off items to raise enough funds for this trip. It would be a privilege and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to act as an ambassador and share the gift of music with the world.
