Oke’s Medical Elective to Ghana!

My name is Oke, and I am a final year medical student at Anglia Ruskin University, UK. I am raising money towards my Medical Elective Placement.

I've been offered the opportunity to undertake a four-week medical placement at the end of March 2024 at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, Ghana. This placement will involve hands on experience in Accident & Emergency (including Trauma), General Medicine and Anaesthetics.

During this placement, I plan to be fully involved, assisting in the care of common presentations, examining and managing acutely unwell patients. This practical experience will expose me to diverse cases and healthcare practices, that will be invaluable as I progress in my medical education and healthcare career.

Our medical electives are self-funded and I'm fundraising to contribute to costs such as travel, accommodation, visa fees, and vaccinations. Your support, no matter the amount, will directly impact this incredible journey.
