In February of 2015, my dad, Jim Pewdo was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer that spread to his lungs and liver. My dad has an intrinsic talent for carpentry; he was in the local Carpenters Union until he had to retire due to his illness. In addition, he volunteered for the Carpenters Union as a tutor for 25 years. Anyone that knows my Dad knows how hard he works. He used to work extremely hard, sometimes working night and day shift to provide for my family.

My dad is a devoted family man, being a loyal brother of eight siblings. He is a loving husband, married to his wife, my mother, Laurie for over 20 years. Together they have raised two children, myself, Lauren, 19, where I am a sophomore at Bloomsburg University and James, my brother, 14, who is a Freshman at Ridley High School. In addition, my dad is a Step-Father to my half-brother, Matt Halpin, 34, who has a loving wife and two children. Matt and my father have developed a strong bond with one another through their passion of carpentry.

For those who know my parents, Jim, Laurie, and our family, asking for help and guidance at this time, isn't the easiest task for us. Unfortunately, my Dad's health took a turn for the worse. He has been trying various forms of Chemotherapy, but nothing seems to help. Considering the therapy is not working, doctors decided to take him off his medicine and put him on hospice. Please help us support my Dad and our family during his battle with cancer. Any money raised would be used to help make him and our family more comfortable at this difficult time.
