OKC Student and Family Emergency Fund
Donation protected
The COVID 19 pandemic has disproportionately impacted people of color, low-income and undocumented individuals, and exacerbated challenges for those we directly serve in our classrooms as current and former OKC teachers. Families are facing challenges in paying rent, covering utility and food costs, and purchasing supplies to help keep themselves and those they love safe. Your donation will help families meet essential needs to help take care of their children so they can focus on learning rather than being evicted or not having access to food.
Our goal is to raise $5,000. Teachers will share direct needs as they hear them from students and families. Funds will be disbursed on a first come, first served basis. No donation is too small. Just $30 will pay for a student’s internet connection to access online learning for the next 3 months, $100 could pay for a family's energy bill for a month, and $500 dollars could pay rent for a family.
