Okada ‘Ohana - Maui Fire

My sister Kaia, her husband and her son are in need of anything and everything currently. They are devastated but thankful that their kitty Pickles made it out with them. This is the last photo my sister took of my nephew before life changed. We are so grateful they are all okay and also so grateful for any donation, which will be used for essentials now and later to help them rebuild. Thank you so much.

I have been asked to answer the following questions. Please see the response to each.

A clear explanation of how you know the intended recipients of your fundraiser's donations and whether you are in direct contact with them: Kaia is my sister and I am in direct contact with her.

A clear plan for how you will ensure the donations are delivered directly to their intended recipient: The donations are being delivered to my sister through myself and her best friend. While Kaia did not have internet access we were thankfully able to use the donations to pay bills for her and make sure she had enough cash to pay for necessities. She has received all of the donations that were sent.

Anything else that may help people better understand your fundraiser's purpose: The funds are being used for Kaia’s family’s immediate needs and also to replace items that were lost or damaged beyond repair. The purpose of the fundraiser is to support her and her family while she is waiting for insurance money to come.
