GIVE LOVE FOR LIFE

On March 12, 2014...Gina, a young and vibrant loving wife and mother, was pulling out of Walgreens on Rt 47 in Huntley, when she was struck by a semi-truck and suffered extensive injuries as well as a traumatic brain injury. Her life changed in an instant. After months in a coma, and several more months in different hospitals and rehab facilities, Gina finally came home in July of 2014. Since then, Gina has been attending outpatient therapy to help her build strength and re-learn the every day activities we so often take for granted; walking, talking, eating, writing. It has been a very long journey for Gina and her family, with many ups and downs, but she continues to make progress and amaze us everyday with her strength, determination, and most of all her spunky personality, humor, and compassion. Gina's life, like many others who have suffered from traumatic brain injury, has changed since her accident. She has physical limitations to overcome, as well as emotional challenges that come with coping with a new and different life. We want to give purpose to this accident, and send a message to people all across the world, that what happens THROUGH her and IN her throughout this journey, can remind us all that there is always a victory in circumstance when it is used for something good. This tragedy, like so many others, has truly inspired her family to set up a GoFund me account for Gina as well as others who have experienced similar circumstances.
Our hope is that this site can help us raise funds to give love for life to familes whose lives have been turned upside down by tragedy.
We want to empower Gina and many others to spread love and opportunities for healing thru their own experiences and through the generous donations of those that want to help others.
