The Mark Offitzer Scoreboard

Dear Friends and Family of Mark Offitzer:

With this summer marking our eighth year without Mark, the passage of time has allowed us to focus on our treasured memories of him and to celebrate those qualities which make us think of him with so much love and affection. 

So, in celebration of his 55th birthday, we would like to invite everyone who loved him to help create a lasting memorial in his honor at the summer camp that he loved.

This campaign  will make it possible to purchase  The Mark Offitzer Scoreboard, inscribed with the motto “Let’s Just Play,” to be installed in Camp Schodack’s beautiful indoor gymnasium known as The Garden. We will also create a plaque containing a picture of Mark and a brief synopsis of his life, values and spirit. All contributors will be acknowledged on the plaque.

 Note also that any remaining funds will be used to set up a scholarship in Mark's name.  Annual donations will be made to  SCI (Schodack Camper Initiative), of which Mark was a former Board Member.  SCI is a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the summer camp experience with children from  economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
