Oisíns Warrior Run for Crumlin
Donation protected
Oisín's journey began in October 2019 when he was born with a very serious and rare heart condition called Complete Atrioventricular Canal Defect. He also has Hypoplastic Right Heart syndrome, where the right ventricle or right side of his heart did not develop fully. Oisín has Down Syndrome also. He spent the first 74 days of his life in hospital, where he was cared for by the incredible team in the Children's Heart Centre of Our Lady's Children's Hospital in Crumlin. During those 74 days Oisín underwent two heart surgeries as well battling multiple infections including sepsis, which meant lengthy stays in ICU. He has overcome a lot of adversity and still has a tough road ahead with more heart surgeries scheduled. Oisín has filled our lives with more love and joy than we ever could have imagined. He is a true warrior and we are so blessed to have him.
This fundraiser is to raise money for the Children's Heart Centre in Crumlin who provide world class care to cardiac children from all over the island of Ireland.
Oisín and I will be completing 200km during the month of June. It will be through a combination of jogs and walks with Oisín in the buggy. I will post regular updates on my social media platforms to let you know how we are getting on.
Thanking you in advance for your support.
