Our Message:

Dear friends, supporters, and advocates of green energy,

We are excited to share with you the innovative and inspiring work of our Okemos High School (OHS) solar car racing club. The team is composed of talented and motivated students who are passionate about renewable energy and clean transportation. They have been working tirelessly over the past months to design, build, and test their solar-powered car, which they plan to race in the upcoming national competition from Dallas, Texas to Palmdale, California in July 2023.

As you may know, participating in such a competition requires a significant amount of resources, both in terms of finances and logistics. The team needs to cover the cost of materials, equipment, transportation, accommodation, and registration fees, among other expenses. That is why we are launching this fundraiser on GoFundme to support the team and help them achieve their dream of representing our community and showcasing their skills and knowledge in sustainable mobility.

Our goal is to raise $30,000, which will cover the bulk of the expenses and allow the team to focus on their preparation and training. We believe that this investment is not only worthwhile but also necessary to promote education, innovation, and leadership among the youth and to advance the transition to a cleaner and greener future.
