Help Toledo OH landlords fight an unconstitutional lead law!!
We need your financial support!
Who we are:
The Property Investor’s Network, Inc. (PIN), is a non-profit trade group whose membership consists of people who invest in the Toledo housing market in pursuit of the American Dream: entrepreneurs who aim to provide reasonably-priced housing to Toledo families and individuals while either earning a profit or building equity for retirement.
Why we are collecting funds:
PIN is collecting funds to cover the legal fees incurred while defending against this unconstitutional legislation, and advocating for fair, and balanced lead laws that will protect all families with children, regardless of the size of their home.
In August 2016 Toledo City Council, under the leadership of massive multi-unit investors passed a lead ordinance implementing legislation against an unrepresented subset of investors (owners of properties with four units or less).
This legislation requires owners of properties with four or less units to submit to extensive, and expensive lead testing, and property recertification—under the guise of "protecting children."
What resulted was a political vacuum allowing for the implementation of unconstitutional legislation that targets the most vulnerable landlords, and property owners. Meanwhile ignoring multi-unit and multi-family homes.
Why we need your help:
Many other cities across the country are closely watching the outcome of the Lead Law ordinance in Lucas county as a litmus test for similiar legislation in other counties.
If we can defeat the lead ordinance, and gain a seat at the table for fair, and balanced, lead law regulation we can ensure that families, and investors across the country are equally protected.
