Bobcats to Cambodia
We (Danielle, Lizy, Katie, Bekki, Lydia, and Sam) are six undergraduates at Ohio University, and we will be participating in a student-faculty collaborative "externship" project in Cambodia this summer. The program is a relationship between the Documentation Center of Cambodia"˜s Sleuk Rith Institute and our university, particularly through the new Center for Law, Justice & Culture.
Our program is officially titled "Imagining International Justice in Post-Genocide Cambodia." We are each pursuing independent research projects developed in collaboration with the Institute's existing programs in genocide education and memorialization.
We will not be able to pursue this project without sufficient funding. Our group has both collectively and individually applied for scholarships and grants from OU and affiliates, and we have amassed some funding but are still in need to pay for our flights, housing, and course credit fees from Ohio University.
