We need a scholarship fund!
Last year, we lost a Harmony Camp that was important to us. A dedicated team of camp-lovers worked really hard to get a new camp in place so our kids can sing!!
The Ohio Harmony Xperience team comes right from the ranks of the last camp. We need a scholarship fund that reaches far and wide! Last year, about 2/3 of our campers received some form of assistance against the $350 camp cost. All of the money here goes directly into the kids' accounts.
While at camp, the kids learn more than technique: they learn self-confidence, friendship, family.. Harmony in the broadest sense of the word. Our kids go on to be vocal educators, teachers, caregivers. Over and over, we've heard from kids about how accepted they feel: how this camp is like a family. Music reaches beyond, and so do these campers.
They just need a little help to get there...sometimes a $25 or a $50 boost gets a camper and a family over the top.
Ohio Harmony Xperience will be held June 28-July 1 at Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Mount Vernon, Ohio. Kids from 6th grade to 2016 grads will have a chance to sing power a cappella vocals, many in the barbershop style. We love our campers and want everyone to be able to attend this life-changing camp. Money shouldn't stop the heart, and all of our kids have heart.
