Hello and thank you so much for consideration donating. I made this to write about my brother Ognjen, who is an amazing and bright nine year old boy.
My brother was diagnosed with autism at the age of 4. Since his diagnosis, it has been a long journey of ups and downs.
My brother hadn’t started showing any signs of hyperactive or unusual behavior until after his first 18 months. It wasn’t until starting kindergarten that something not being right was brought to our attention. After a few weeks, his teacher suggested visiting a doctor.
My parents spent three years visiting various doctors until they got the final diagnosis. It was then confirmed that Ognjen has F84.0 (Autism spectrum with reduced sharing of interests, emotions, or affect; failure to initiate or respond to social interactions, very limited speaking skills, and problems with the meaning and rhythm of words and sentences).
Ognjen has a speech therapist and is slowly progressing. But, unfortunately, due to his inability to speak, he is often hyperactive.
It takes a lot of effort for Ognjen to function normally and my family has been working extremely hard to ensure that we help him to the best of our ability. So far, the family has covered the costs of treatments on their own, but in the future we will need the support of anyone willing to donate in order for him to be able to continue the treatments.
He needs the funds to go for a stem cell transplantation abroad, laboratory analyses, supplements, treatments, and other travel expenses.
Thank you all for your support
