Rand has always been an advocate for health and fitness. He has ran multiple marathons in the 70's and early 80's, later turning to biking. Now biking is one of his true passions. He is a member of GLAC, a local group that bikes, hikes, and takes 'adventures' together.
After a couple odd ailments, Rand was diagnosed with Stage 3 Multiple Myeloma, or cancer of the bone marrow, in November 2014. He is continuing to undergo chemo treatments, then will begin the difficult process of harvesting his own bone marrow for the future.
The true cost of cancer is a bit difficult to measure, however, I have decided to set a goal of $4,000 to help cover costs of household expenses during this difficult time. I am asking that if you have the ability to contribute even $5 we would be truly grateful. No amount is too little. Another great way to contribute is by helping to share Rand's campaign with as many of your friends as possible and get him back on his bike!
