Hello! My name is Gladys Gonzalez, mother of 10 year old Robb Victim Caitlyne Gonzales. Caitlyne experienced a mass shooting at Robb Elementary on May 24th. She’s experienced an onset of symptoms since that day that include, trouble sleeping, nightmares, rapid heartbeat, nail biting, to name a few. I continue sleeping with her since that day. Caitlyne lost her best friend Jackie Casarez and many close friends. Caitlyne will need weekly therapy sessions however the therapist resides an hour and a half away. She had been taking local therapy sessions however she regressed and we are having to seek alternative modalities targeted for PTSD victims. Caitlyne has been very vocal about the need to obtain gun reform for the nation both in the state and federal level. She has spoken at numerous rallies, school board meetings, and has had senate meetings in Washington. She hopes to one day be a lawyer. Her story was featured at the Washington Post. You can read about the journey we now find ourselves in. I thank you in advance for taking the time to read . May you be just as blessed.
