Hi, my name is Adrienne Spears. Rivan Spears was born August 31st in the evening. After 18 hours of labor, a prolonged birth, and the cord wrapped around his neck Rivan did not breath right away. The oxygen team was called immediately and they where able to get him to breath with help. He was transferred to the neonatal ICU at Sparrow. Rivan is having seizures and being given all the help that he needs to heal from his trauma. Mom and Dad are being strong for their son and for each other, but this is an emotional roller coaster as they try to figure out this difficult situation. The Specialist, Neurologist and doctors are wonderful as it's all hands on deck for Baby Rivan, our first grandson. Please donate to help this young family be able to be at Sparrow NICU as much as they can. The doctors said it could be up to a month. Prayers are also being very welcomed . Thank you so much.
