Officer William “Timmy” Durham
On Monday May 4th 2020 the NJDOC lost a hero. Senior Correctional Police Officer William “ Timmy “ Durham a 19- year Veteran of the NJDOC was murdered outside his home in Vineland NJ.
He leaves behind his wife of 32 years Tiffany and two sons, William Jr 21 and Gage 17. Timmy was brutally murdered in front of his family while he was trying to defend them.
Timmy was a great role model for many people. He was a true “ family “ man. His wife and his boys always came first, no matter what.
Throughout his career Ofc Durham was the one guy everyone could count on no matter the situation. From rookie officers to command staff, everyone felt at ease knowing Timmy was involved.
He made everyone he came into contact with feel important
and appreciated. This was the kind of man and officer Timmy was. This void can never be filled.
He was stabbed to death in front of his family, this is something no family should ever witness or experience.
His wife, kids and his brothers and sisters in blue are left to deal with this horrific senseless murder.
