Lake County Local 11 Correctional Union is raising funds for Officer Ronald T. Jones' Memorial Service. Officer Jones was involved in a fatal hit-and-run car accident on his way to work early Saturday morning, October 11, 2025. He was flown to a Chicago hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. Officer Jones was a dedicated public servant for almost 9 years. He was a beloved colleague, dedicated family man, and a truly remarkable individual. He brought light and joy to everyone around him. Officer Jones was a man of pure joy and kindness. He was a genuine kind soul whose life was taken way to soon. Someone who was always smiling and positive, never a harsh word for anyone.
An all around goofball with an awesome sense of humor either laughing with you or at himself. Always ready for fun and spending time with friends and family. His love of “House Music” was undeniable. Ready to bust a move at any given moment and never miss a chance to dance.
A True “Star Wars Geek”. A writer and author of science-fi novels. A History and Literature lover. A gym enthusiast who never missed a workout.
