Officer Benners Family Fund

It is with sad news that Kimberly Janine Benner, age 52 was suddenly diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer. She is the loving wife to Steve Benner, age 52 and mother to son Luke age 24 and daughter Janine age 17.

After attending Janine’s final senior high school field hockey game; Kim felt ill and was rushed to the hospital, where she was diagnosed. Although, Kim did suffer from Crohn’s disease, she lived an active and healthy lifestyle which included visiting the gym two to three times a week.

Steve Benner has been an officer with the Maryland Transportation Authority Police for 18 years. Luke has been an officer with the same department for three years. Kimberly and Steve’s daughter Janine is set to graduate high school on June 9th and attend college in the fall. Unfortunately, doctors project that Kim will not be here to watch her daughter cross the stage. In order to accommodate Kim’s wish to see Janine graduate the staff and faculty of Sparrows Point High School was gracious enough to commence an honorary graduation ceremony inside of Kim’s hospital room.

After suffering cardio complication’s less than three months ago, Steve has been on medical leave.  Please consider the tragic circumstances that our brother Steve and his family have endured.  During their time of need let us all come together and comfort them.  Please consider donating to this cause.  Any donation would be greatly appreciated as every bit counts.

This account was made in honor of the Benner family.
