Playground Project - Offham Primary School

Our next fundraising target is extending and resurfacing the school playground. Once this has been done, it can be painted with line markings to enrich playtimes and PE lessons for the benefit of the children's physical and mental wellbeing. This will be an invaluable asset for the school and has the potential to create an additional revenue stream through external hire.

Offham Primary is a small, single-form entry rural school. Funding is extremely tight and the PTFA is relied upon to fund projects such as this. Facility improvements benefit not only the children, but also make the school more desirable for prospective parents/carers. As funding received is calculated per child, even a couple of unfilled places greatly impacts the school’s income. It is therefore vital that the school is full to capacity which is not currently the case.

Once the playground project is completed, together with the eco pod, it creates an invaluable facility for the school, and has the potential to be hired externally for use by the local community.

We need your help

We are appealing to all of you: parents, carers, grandparents, aunts, cousins, neighbours. To be able to complete the playground project for the benefit of the children and the school, WE NEED YOU.

We urge you to come forward to raise the money this term, whether it’s taking on a personal challenge, organising a fundraising event, or joining the PTFA XI cricket team. We are a small committee and cannot raise this sum of money alone.
