Help Us Rebuild Our Dam at Knotty Pines
Hi, I’m Kristi, my husband and I live off-grid in Hope, Arkansas, on a small homestead called Knotty Pines. We raise animals, grow food, and live as sustainably as we can.
After a series of storms, the dam on our property collapsed—draining our pond, damaging our road, and threatening the whole ecosystem we’ve built. This dam isn’t just a pond—it’s our water source for the garden, the animals, and daily life.
We’ve reached out to every agency imaginable—FEMA, USDA, state and local offices—but because our area wasn’t declared a federal disaster zone, there’s no help available.
We’re now facing $80,000 in repair costs, with no outside support. We’re doing everything we can—working in phases, bartering where we can—but we can’t do it alone.
If you’re able to give, every dollar helps us take the next step. If you can’t donate, sharing this page makes a huge difference.
We’re so grateful for your kindness and support.
With gratitude,
Kristi
