Help our friend Rose with bereavement leave

Dear community,

some of you may have heard that Rose, a wonderful member of the knitting and spinning community as well as the owner of Akara, has abruptly lost her father. For many years, Rose has been a source of warm, friendly, inspiring joy for many of us, and I'd ask for us to get together and do what we can to keep her going.

As an autonomous worker, Rose doesn't have the means to take leave without it having tremendous impact on her family's finances. Any amount you can spare will help her have space to breathe and process without the pressure of time. Other ways to help can be gift cards (grocery, gas, etc) sent directly to her, or simply just sharing this message to reach as many as possible.

Asking for help is never easy, even less when we are stuck in the whirlwind of emotional, financial and legal complications that come with the loss of a close one, especially if that close one lives in another country.

All funds will be transferred directly to Rose.
