Hello, dear beautiful people,

Life has a way of teaching us profound lessons, and for me, the recent loss of my loved ones to the devastating effects of violence, and friends I've lost to trauma, addiction, and suicide has been an awakening. Their absence has ignited a deep appreciation for life and a renewed commitment to fulfilling my purpose and making meaningful contributions to society.

In light of this, I am embarking on a journey to bring my one-man-show, "The Tramaine Experience: An Urban Dramedy," to a wider audience through a streaming version. This powerful piece is an abstract recollection of my upbringing in the notorious Cabrini Green Projects, offering a raw and authentic glimpse into the challenges and triumphs of my life.

Your support can play a pivotal role in amplifying the impact and message of this project. By contributing to this fundraiser, you become an integral part of spreading awareness and fostering understanding. Together, we can transcend boundaries and share a narrative that resonates with diverse audiences.

I am sincerely grateful for any assistance you can provide in helping me tell my story. Your donation will not only support the realization of a streaming version but also contribute to a larger conversation about the experiences that shape us. Thank you for being a vital part of this journey.

"Crime and neglect created hostile living conditions for many residents, and "Cabrini Green" became a metonym for problems associated with public housing in the United States. In 1995, CHA began tearing down dilapidated mid- and high-rise buildings, with the last demolished in 2011." ⎯Wikipedia

"With the demolition of Cabrini Green, 'The Tramaine Experience' has unwittingly elevated Ford to the status of urban mythology." ⎯Harlem World

"[Ford] takes us on a wild and raw journey to the Cabrini Green Projects where he grew up in Chicago and takes us out with pride, introducing us to five unforgettable characters…” ⎯New York Times
"The Tramaine Experience" stands as an award-winning, edgy, interactive dramatic comedy solo show, unfolding within a seamlessly crafted abstract portrayal of a childhood in the notorious Cabrini Green Projects. This convivial yet slyly sobering performance goes beyond the surface, illuminating the shared humanity often overshadowed by superficialities. Through a cheerfully farcical yet delicately heartbreaking lens, it explores the environment and intimate, often voiceless, fragility that shapes the lives of a community marked by inner-city 'ghetto' stereotypes ingrained in America's cultural fabric.

Having evolved from its developmental stages Off-Broadway at Theatre Row to its premiere at the American Theater of Actors, this unique production has been foster-produced by The Araca Group. "The Tramaine Experience" transcends the boundaries of traditional storytelling, offering a nuanced perspective that challenges preconceptions and invites the audience to connect with the human experience on a profound level. Join us on a journey that combines laughter, introspection, and a powerful exploration of the untold stories that form the heart of our cultural landscape.

"For once, I felt like I was actually involved in an engaging theatrical experience, as opposed to a spectator intruding on a malaise. Ford does an elegant job of illustrating how the problems of Cabrini-Green were endemic throughout the country, representing larger urban decay happening all over the nation." ⎯ Trish Vignola, BroadwayWorld

Note: The following version is post-Off-Broadway run and is condensed sans the extraneous -elaborate costumes, set, lights, and additional props and focuses on the artist's performance. This new version would have full-scale production elements.

*Funds raised will be used to shoot and make a full-scale short film special out of the production with a post-show documentary portion for Amazon Prime Video.
