The problems we are facing in America are rooted in how this country was built from the very beginning. Lately a lot of us have been reflecting on what we could possibly do to fix this broken system.

The answer doesn't lie in one individual or one event.

It involves coming together as a collective vehicle for change.

ALL of us in the music community would have no purpose without black culture and no inspiration without our black friends and collaborators. So today, a group of us are launching a fundraiser to raise money for causes that we find essential and effective.

Heres how it works:

Donate 50$ to receive:

- An hour of studio time at Off Record Music, with an engineer included

OR

- A professional master from @johnsparkz or @dylanmcdougle

Donate 100$ to receive:

- A beat lease from @afuckinr, @fulltac, @tonyseltzer, @mattmarvin1821, @laron____ , @kashakabeats or myself (@alaunyc)

OR

- A professional mix from @dylanmcdougle. @kashakabeats. or @mattmarvin1821

The money will be sent to the following 4 organizations:

- AdvancementProject : A racial justice and civil rights organization supporting national and local movements toward a just democracy

- NoNewJails : Fighting to end the expansion of the prison systems, such as Rikers Island, in New York and instead focusing resources on building better communities
