For 8 years one of my biggest dreams has been to get an internship at NOMA, which in several occasions has been rewarded the best restaurant in the world! .
This dream has become true! From 15th of July until 19th of October I will be working with them in Copenhagen. I'm proud and excited! This is a call for support to make the journey financially possible.
During the course of my studies and professional career I have been committed to refining my research and cooking skills and developing my professional character. My training and exposure in the field of culinary arts has endowed me with strong analytic skills and fluency in a range of disciplines, from operating a restaurant business to running a fine dining establishment and beyond . In particular, I am deeply familiar with current food trends and farming issues and policies in South Africa and the continent. My prior work experience in the field of culinary arts has equipped me with exceptional communication and management skills. .
I am currently appointed as a Sous chef at NCW Restaurant (South Africa). My work entails intensive research on sustainable cooking and menu implementation thoughout the establishment and skill development for staff and trainees ultimately improving service to clients.
I strongly believe that this internship will be greatly beneficial for everyone that I will work with because I will be able to share the knowledge learned over my duration at Noma. Having completed my course I will be able to implement the skills gained using South African produce and in so doing discover local flavors like never before.
My call for fund support was initiated once I was accepted to attend internship at Noma restaurant based in Denmark, due to the short unforseen date I'm pleading with you to please make this once in a life time opportunity come true by donating towards Visa application and my stay in Copenhagen for 3months. Your contributions will be greatly helpful.
