In July of 2020, my mom was diagnosed with Melanoma Cancer. She underwent surgery, received treatment, and successfully fought off the cancer. In 2023, during a routine check up, we discovered that her cancer had returned and spread. A CT scan found a tumor in her brain. She received radiation to the brain tumor on Tuesday April 23rd and came home feeling normal - she cooked, cleaned, and went to rest. At around 8:45pm, she was admitted to the hospital and was quickly losing her consciousness. We discovered that she suffered a stroke and had tremendous brain damage - things weren’t looking good. We prayed for a miracle holding on to our faith, but on Friday April 26 at 6:38 PM, my mother passed away. The news shattered me and my siblings to our core. Every child’s worst nightmare came true for us, we lost our beautiful, kind, generous, forgiving, loving, happy mom.

It brings us peace to hear the words of the people who knew her, everyone says that she treated them all with love and generosity. She treated everyone like family. She was very strong, and most of her family and friends did not know about this because she did not want to worry those who loved her. She maintained a positive attitude through out the entire battle, and her faith was the center of her strength. She grew very close to God, and so we are at peace knowing that she is now in heaven as our guardian angel. We are creating this gofundme to help lay my mom to rest. En julio de 2020, a mi mamá le diagnosticaron cáncer de melanoma. Se sometió a una cirugía, recibió tratamiento y luchó con éxito contra el cáncer. En 2023, durante un chequeo de rutina, descubrimos que su cáncer había regresado y se había extendido. Una tomografía computarizada encontró un tumor en su cerebro. Recibió radiación en el tumor cerebral el martes 23 de abril y regresó a casa sintiéndose normal: cocinó, limpió y se fue a descansar. Alrededor de las 8:45 p. m., ingresó en el hospital y rápidamente perdió el conocimiento. Descubrimos que sufrió un derrame cerebral y tenía un daño cerebral tremendo; las cosas no pintaban bien. Oramos por un milagro aferrándonos a nuestra fe, pero el viernes 26 de abril a las 6:38 p.m. mi madre falleció. La noticia nos destrozó a mí y a mis hermanos hasta la médula. La peor pesadilla de todo niño se hizo realidad para nosotros: perdimos a nuestra madre hermosa, amable, generosa, indulgente, amorosa y feliz. Nos trae paz escuchar las palabras de las personas que la conocieron, todos dicen que ella los trataba a todos con amor y generosidad. Trataba a todos como a una familia. Ella era muy fuerte y la mayoría de su familia y amigos no lo sabían porque no quería preocupar a quienes la amaban. Mantuvo una actitud positiva durante toda la batalla y su fe fue el centro de su fortaleza. Ella se acercó mucho a Dios y por eso estamos en paz sabiendo que ahora está en el cielo como nuestro ángel guardián. Estamos creando este gofundme para ayudar a que mi mamá descanse.
