Help Send Them to World Finals in Michigan!
This dedicated high school team has qualified to go to this year's Odyssey of the Mind (OM) World Finals at Michigan State University. OM competitions are an incredible opportunity for young, creative minds to showcase their leadership, teamwork, talents, and problem-solving skills on a Regional, State, and Global stage. For this group in particular, OM is a critical creative outlet and keeps them socially engaged and mentally challenged during the difficult transition to adulthood.
They have worked hard (countless hours for months on end) to earn a spot in the World Finals, but they need your help to get there. By donating to their cause, you can help these students represent their school and community at an international level, competing with other schools from all over the US, as well as delegations from participating countries like Canada, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, and Switzerland.
The cost to participate in the World’s Finals is not cheap, and we’re looking for financial support to make this possible for these students who are 100% self-funding everything. The cost for each student is $1,050, including lodging, meals, and transportation from Houston, TX to East Lansing, MI. We are also looking at approximately $400 to transport all their props to Michigan. Thus total expense to send the kids and props is estimated at $6,700!
Every little bit counts in making this an affordable experience. So please consider donating to this worthy cause. Your contribution will not only support their travel and lodging expenses but will be a valuable investment in the future of innovation, ingenuity, budgeting, resourcefulness, problem-solving and teamwork for their generation.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.
