Odyssey of the Mind is an incredible international, non-profit organization that fosters creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving in students of all ages, from kindergarten through college. It's all about empowering young minds to think outside the box and tackle complex challenges in creative ways.

This year, we’re proud to share that both middle school teams from Compass Community Collaborative School have swept the Regional and State tournaments, taking 1st place! Their journey has been one of growth, teamwork, and endless creativity. Through long hours of brainstorming, problem-solving, and practicing together, they’ve come together not only as a team but as a family.

Here’s the best part: the students don't just solve a problem, they perform their solution! They present their ideas in a highly creative, 8 minute performance, which is judged not just for the solution’s effectiveness, but also for its creativity and style. And they’re also challenged with spontaneous problems on the spot. It’s truly a test of teamwork and ingenuity!

Now, the road to the World Finals in Iowa awaits! This next step is an exciting one, but it’s also a massive investment of both time and resources. The students will continue refining their projects, practicing for spontaneous challenges, and building strong, lasting bonds. Every moment of this journey is invaluable, but we need your help to get there.
