ODU Delta Sigma Pi Initiation

Delta Sigma Pi is a co-ed professional business fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities and promote scholarship, social activity, and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice. Our incredibly diverse fraternity consists of men and women studying business related majors of all backgrounds and of all ages. The colony was established by a small group of students January 29, 2017 and has grown to over 40 members (including both faculty and students), facilitated numerous professional activities for members and students within the business school, and dedicated over 150 volunteer hours assisting various organizations within the Hampton Roads area.

Here at Old Dominion University we are striving to establish Delta Sigma Pi as the first and only professional business fraternity in the university's history. On October 12th we, the Old Dominion Colony, submitted our petition to officially be initiated as a chapter. We recently received the approval from the national administration stating we have been approved to become an official chapter at Old Dominion University. At the end of October every member of the colony will undergo the pledge process where we are educated completely about the history and traditions of Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity. On December 1st, our colony will be officially inducted into the National Fraternity.

Our goal is to raise around $5,000 towards the Colony's initiation expenses and other installation fees. All colony members are full time students and many of which work full/part-time positions in order to assist Delta Sigma Pi financially. In order to show our appreciation of donations the colony is willing to gift donors of $50 or more with an honorable mention during the initiation banquet, $100 or more with free Old Dominion Delta Sigma Pi t-shirt, and donations of $200 or more with a special recognition section seating along with all other receivables. All donors are welcome to attend and celebrate this incredible achievement with us. Details of event location and time will be delivered within the near future.
