Odin’s cancer diagnosis and treatment

Hi everyone. I’m Jamie, Odin’s mom.

Odin is a fighter. He was initially trapped by Cat Man Chris and underwent all kinds of medical interventions including having many of his teeth and eye removed. Eventually I was able to adopt him and he has lived happily with me and his brother Marvel for the last 3 years.

This July Odin had a biopsy done on a wound on his nose that wouldn’t heal and he was diagnosed with adenosquamous carcinoma, a type of cancer.

Over the next two months we went to multiple different specialist vets for testing to find out how to treat him. Through the recent testing we have found out that his heart is a little too big and he has leaky valves. We also learned that at some point in his life he was shot with a BB that is still lodged in his nose (and this is probably how he lost his eye).

After all this testing we finally have a treatment plan and hope he will be cancer free soon.

As you might imagine, all these specialist vets and tests have been very expensive. Several people have reached out to me asking if they could help so I’ve started this Go Fund Me for anyone who wants to contribute. Any funds collected will be withdrawn by me and immediately used to pay down all the credit I have used to pay for everything (and will use for his upcoming treatment and follow up). I am humbled by the interest in supporting us in this way. If donations happen to exceed the goal I will use any excess funds to pay for any additional follow up care that we don’t know about yet and/or save it for future vet costs.
