Odin's Been Abandoned by the Healthcare Industry

Donation protected
Our son, Odin, has had severe seizure issues since he was a year old.  After the physicians chose to change his medications 4 1/2 years ago at the age of 10, his condition began to degrade and become dangerous.  His active seizures daily increased.  The new medications also increased his behavior issues.  Then in May of 2018, the physicians prescribed Fycompa, a newer drug for seizure control.  The Florida legislation actually passed laws making us try this final drug before trying medical cannabis for Odin's seizure control.  5 days later, his behavior was dangerous to everyone.  He would punch me in the face.  He hurt a dog.  He tried to throw his mom down the stairs before asking her to get ice cream 20 minutes later clearly illustrating this dangerous behavior to be a direct result of poor medical treatment.  I could no longer work having to stay home.  My wife and I, admittedly, didn't handle this situation optimally.  His increasingly violent and destruction behavior left us with depression, anxiety, and PTSD.  He's been taken to several behavioral health treatment centers.  He requires intensive, in-patient care.  He has been denied by every treatment facility across the nation.  The behavioral health treatment centers deny him saying they don't have the clinical staff to handle his seizures (that my wife and I handle at home, BTW), and the clinical facilities deny him saying they can't handle his behavioral issues created by his seizure control meds and, admittedly, my wife and I did occasionally spoil him when he asked to just die and not endure this anymore.  So I have moved out of my house into our camper we usually used to go to Disney to focus on going back to work while my wife has offered to try and keep him safe by herself to help me get my career and our safety back.  We have another child, Bella, who is amazing in every way.  A 4.9+ GPA sought after by every ivy league school, and we couldn't be more proud of her.  Our goal here is to continue fighting for Odin's improved care while trying to ensure we can protect our daughter from harm and ensuring she gets the higher education she has earned.  Unfortunately, our son fell into a black hole between the healthcare system and the justice system, and we need some help at least until he's accepted in to the program for the Association of Persons with Disabilities.
