Odin, my dearest oldest brother just passed today December 26th. Just four months after losing my step father. My brother was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago and diagnosed with COVID a week ago, today he had a complication and died in his sleep.
Odin was more than my trusted brother, he was the man who loved me and my siblings as much as he loved his own kids.
My nephew David, my dear niece Leslie and her three daughters are now left without their main pillar, the head of the family, the one who always made sure everyone's needs were fulfilled before his own.
His granddaughter, Melanie describes him as "a grandpa, dad and best friend. He liked trucking, that's all he ever talked about. He had traveled through all 49 states in his big rig. Only 49 just because he can't get to Hawaii in his truck. He loved and believed in God and always reminded us we are all loved. Food was his passion as he was the chef of the house. He truly was the #1 Dad always there for everyone".
I have never met anyone more selfless and loving than my brother. Even though times are hard for everyone around the world, this is my way of paying a tribute to someone who put others before himself. Leslie, his eldest daughter, is the one bearing the financial responsibility of what it takes to arrange a funeral for a loved one. As Odin's sister I feel like it is my responsibility to help alleviate their struggle. So, if you have it in your heart to help our family in these extremely difficult times, it would be a significant relief for us.
Given the pandemic the costs of funeral arrangements add up to $12,000. All funds collected will be handed to Odin's daughter Leslie Vidaurre.

Odin, mi querido hermano mayor, acaba de fallecer hoy 26 de diciembre. Solo cuatro meses después de que perdi a mi padrastro. A mi hermano le diagnosticaron cáncer hace unos años y le diagnosticaron COVID hace una semana, hoy tuvo una complicación y murió mientras dormía.
Odin era más que mi hermano de confianza, era el hombre que me amaba a mí y a mis hermanos (medios hermanos) tanto como a sus hijos.
