Hello, im laura and I am trying to raise funds to support my bestfriend kayla and her dog odii's medical bills. Yesterday she called to tell me she had found out odii was diagnosed with kidney disease. Odii is her baby she loves him dearly and im just beside myself knowing how much she is hurting. Of course kidney disease is terminal but she would like to go ahead with any treatments offered to get as much time with odii as possible. He is still happy and playing and still has life to live. It would be a different story if odii was clearly in alot of pain not wanting to play go for walks ect then of course she would agree it's time for him to cross the rainbow bridge, but odii still has life in him! She has already spent alot of money on the blood work and testing to find out he has kidney disease, and of course there are now extra costs. Some of these costs include a complete change over of food to a low protein diet. Odii only eats wet food as well as wet food being the best choice for dogs with kidney disease. I myself have looked into the special food and its quite costly and this will be an on going cost. Odii also needs subcutaneous fluid administration and will continually need this. Kayla is going to speak with the vet on how to administer this from home to save money but again the supplies will be costly . As well as other costs as stated in pictures I will provide. While I understand this won't save odii it would mean more years added to his life and more time for kayla to spend with her fur baby. I wish I could take her pain away unfortunately the only thing I can think of doing is trying to relieve her of some of the financial burden. Kayla works very hard and has worked hard to achieve the things she has in life but as we all know its hard times and people are suffering. Kayla has to much pride to ask others for help so im doing it for her. Any little bit would help as it adds up and would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my cause.
