Donate to Help OC Women Basketball Go To Nationals

Our Okanagan College Women's Basketball team completed 2 upset victories in the PacWest Playoffs and has qualified for the National Championships March 11th-17th at Lakeland in Alberta. 8 teams in Canada qualify for Nationals and it is the 2nd time in 3 years that we have qualified. Unfortunately, with this comes a hefty financial cost. We are self funded program that runs based on community support and now need to raise $30,000 in order to fund the trip. All funds will go directly to flights, accommodation, referee sharing costs for nationals, national team fee, bus/rental vehicles.

It is the mission of the Kelowna College Basketball Society to create a sustainable men’s and women’s basketball program at Okanagan College in cooperation with Okanagan College and supported by the community. In doing so we will provide an opportunity for more young men and women to excel at a sport they love while pursuing further education. Within this basketball program it is our intention to educate and empower our players with confidence, commitment and integrity, so they can live a productive, successful life. Our program will emphasize respect for teammates, peers and community by instilling a code of ethics built on honesty, integrity, responsibility and teamwork. It is our intention to create an environment where every player in our program can reach their full potential, develop their talents and skills in their game and more importantly in life.
