Octopus Survival Fund

Update: Well, she's done it again. Governor Reynolds has shut down all bars in 6 counties including Blackhawk County through Sept. 20. Needless to say we think this recent shut down could have been avoided with a little leadership from our Governor back in May. That conversation is for anther time and we can have it over a beer at Octopus when we reopen OK?  Words don't cut it but here goes. Thanks for your support and donations. We wouldn't be here without you. All of us at Octopus know how fortunate we are to have friends like you. We'll see you in 3 weeks. Cheers.

Hey, Dave & Barb here. Octopus is shut down until March 31st by order of the Governor because of Covid 19. Any contributions from this gofundme campaign received will go towards the continued existance of Octopus College Hill. A small venue and bar located at 2205 College St. in Cedar Falls, IA (you probably already knew that!). Funds received here will go towards larger bills like Insurance, utilities, DRAM Insurance, etc. As business owners we have tried to be prepared, but we simply never imagined a time where we would be completely closed for two weeks (?) with no income. The goal in this campaign isn't that important as gofundme pays as soon as funds come in. If what we do is important to you then give what you can. Can't afford it? No worries. We understand. Please know that we appreciate all of you who have been a customer at Octopus. It means everything to us.
